POLINA ZAHA
ABOUT
I’m a director working across fashion, beauty, and commercial film, and I often shoot and edit my own work. My practice is rooted in a strong female perspective, celebrating beauty, diversity, and the strength of women. I’m drawn to creating images that feel both elevated and intimate, where femininity is portrayed with intention, power, and care.
I grew up between London, Moscow, New York, Providence, and Los Angeles, which shaped my global perspective and my creative voice. Working across languages and cultures made me more intentional in how I tell stories and connect with a range of audiences.
After studying at RISD and Brown University, I started in high-end post-production before moving into directing and shooting. That background still shapes how I work from concept through final cut. I understand every step needed to wrap a project to a commercial level.
I’ve worked with brands like Sports Illustrated, Timberland, Ford, Google, MAC Cosmetics, Josie Maran, Simon Miller, and The Elder Statesman, and previously led the video departments at Cult Gaia and Oh Polly, where I built stories designed to drive measurable impact and capture attention.
What drives me is a deep passion for creating work that celebrates diversity, positivity, and uplifts women, while shaping narratives into something unexpected and visually surprising.
If you're looking for a creative who pushes boundaries with intention, let’s connect.
